It's gonna give me some information, and select Free. Since I'm a big Netflix user, I'll click on Netflix. Okay, now to install apps from the app store, you just click on the app icon, app store icon, and here you just go through, and you choose which app you want. Let's go to Downloads, and we go here, see now we have this 7-Zip in here. And you can see over here we have Foxit Reader, we have Goog Chrome, we have Malwarebytes, we have Dropbox, and Java was installed there as well, and so was 7-Zip, and we can verify 7-Zip is good to go. Okay I'm back, and we see here, that each one of these installed successfully. So I'm gonna go ahead and pause the video here, and I'll pick back up when this is all finished. Okay so you saw Chrome installed successfully, it's still downloading Java 8, so once it finishes it'll start installing it and then downloading the next.
And you see Java 8, Java 圆4 8, that's because that's 64-bit. While it's installing one, it starts downloading the other. As you can see here, it has the list of applications that we want to install, and it's going one by one. Okay when it's ready, we just select Run to install. So we'll just select these, we'll Get Installer, so wait for it to download. Well, is what Ninite has done, is they went in there, and they put these packages together, so that none of that stuff, none of that junk, gets installed, ever. You'll notice that it doesn't ask you, or it doesn't give you the option to select, custom install and go through and uncheck these boxes.
I mean you can select multiple ones, right? And when we download and install it, we can even do Java. Let's do Foxit Reader, now we can do Dropbox, you can do Malwarebytes. We can select certain ones, so say I want to put, Google Chrome on here, I want to install 7-Zip on here, let me see what else, maybe you're gonna want. Here we have Web Browsers, Compression, Messaging, and all these other ones in these categories. Now we'll see here that it uses https and is a secure website. So one website that I've discovered that I really enjoy, and works really well, is called. So when you go through and install them, you select custom and then you go through and you uncheck those boxes, and it's kind of annoying. First I'd like to point out that some applications, when you download and install them, such as Java, Adobe Reader, so forth, so forth, applications like that and other third-party apps, when you download and install them, they want you to install other software, too, so it's like a bundled software application that you're installing, which we don't generally want, especially in a business environment.
